Grandest Mosque on the West coast of Aceh

This time I will discuss a little about the great mosque baitul prosper meulaboh. Check it out!!

Meulaboh is the birthplace of national hero Teuku Umar Johan Pahlawan, in this city now stands magnificent Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque which is one of the largest and grandest mosque on the west coast of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam.The mosque is very prominent with a blend of Middle Eastern architecture, Asia, and Aceh is wrapped in bright brown color combined with red brick in the dome of the mosque.The Great Mosque of Baitul Makmur was inaugurated on June 1, 1999 with the capacity to reach 7000 pilgrims at once, and continue to experience refinement and expansion to reach its current form.

Baitul Makmur Meulaboh Grand Mosque was once a meeting point Meulaboh people during the earthquake and tsunami in Aceh December 26, 2004 and also became a dropping point of food and humanitarian aid from the air through a helicopter that landed in the yard of Baitul Makmur mosque.Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque is called as one of the 100 most beautiful mosques in Indonesia in a book compiled by Teddy Tjokrosaputro & Aryananda published by PT Andalan Media, August 2011.
