Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque

The Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque is one of the largest mosques in Aceh. The beauty of this mosque is no doubt. Even the mosque is included in the 100 Most Beautiful Mosque in Indonesia which is a book of fruit by Teddy Tjokrosaputro and Aryananda. The mosque is famous for its wide yard as well as architecture that combines the style of Aceh, Middle East, and Asia.
The Construction of the mosque that located in Meulaboh City, West Aceh was started in 1987 with marked by laying the first stone. At first, the Grand Mosque of Meulaboh is planned to embrace a design similar to the Taj Mahal that is predominantly white. But the plan is not implemented, the design is more modern by following the trend.

Mosque pride of the people of Aceh, especially Meulaboh has a building area of ​​about 3,500 square meters, and built on an area of ​​5.2 hectares. It is said that the mosque is able to accommodate up to 7,000 pilgrims directly. The inauguration of the Great Mosque of Meulaboh itself was done exactly on June 1, 1999.
