City of Rome

Is the capital of the Italian Republic and the center of ancient Roman civilization. The city of Rome is a spiritual and active center for the Roman Catholic Church and its followers around the world, as well as its status as a center for the height of artistic and intellectual achievement, all of which made it today a distinct political capital, spiritual center and a memorial to the past. Rome enjoys a prestigious position among European cities. It is the capital of beauty and history, an important tourist attraction.

Rome city of the Seven Hills

Rome is called the city of the seven hills; the ancient city of Rome is located on seven hills; the historic city of Romulus was built on the Plateau of Palatine. The reason for the construction of Rome on a hill was to facilitate the defense of the city and control of the banks of the Tiber. The remaining six hills are: , The Kirenal Plateau, the Féminal Plateau, the Skillene Plateau, the Kailan Plateau and the Avantine Plateau. The importance of the plateaus of ancient religions is the high places where sanctuaries are sacred and used for worship, where sacrifices are offered to the gods in a sign of sincerity in worship.

مدينة روما

هي عاصمة الجمهوريّة الإيطاليّة، ومركز الحضارة الرومانيّة العريقة. تُعدّ مدينة روما مركز روحي وفعلي للكنيسة الكاثوليكية الرومانية وأتباعها حول العالم، إلى جانب مكانتها كمركز لذروة الإنجاز الفني والفكري، وجميع هذه العناصر جعلتها اليوم عاصمة سياسية متميّزة، ومركزاً دينياً روحانياً، ونصب تذكاري للماضي. تتمتّع روما حديثاً بمكانة مرموقة بين المدن الأوروبيّة، فهي عاصمة الجمال والتاريخ، وهي مركز جذب سياحيّ هام.

روما مدينة التلال السبع

تُسمّى روما بمدينة التلال السبع؛ وذلك لوقوع مدينة روما القديمة على سبعة تلال؛ حيث بُنيَت مدينة رومولوس التاريخيّة على هضبة بالاتين، وكان سبب بناء روما على تلّة هو تسهيل الدفاع عن المدينة وللسيطرة على ضفاف نهر التيبر، أما التلال الستة الباقية، فهي: هضبة كابيتولين، وهضبة كيرينال، وهضبة فيمينال، وهضبة إسكيلين، وهضبة كايلان، وهضبة أفنتين، وتأتي أهميّة الهضبات من الأديان القديمة؛ حيث كانت تُعد الأماكن المرتفعة أماكن ذات قدسيّة وتُستخدم للعبادة، وفيها يتم تقديم التضحيات للآلهة في دلالة على مدى الإخلاص في العبادة.
