مدينة الأقصر الأثريّة مدينة المئة باب / City of Luxor Archaeological City Hundred Door

The Hundred City Gate is the ancient city of Luxor, and the so-called city of the Hundred Door is Homer of the Greek historian; because of its large-door buildings. The city of Luxor has several names throughout the ages, including the names: East, and good in the Roman era, and was the capital of Egypt Pharaonic Egypt, and called the city of the sun, the city of Sultan, and the city of light, the current name Luxor was launched by the Arabs; . The city of Luxor dates back to about 2575 BC in the fourth Dynasty during the reign of Amenhotep the First. Luxor was the capital until 332 BC when the Persians overthrew the 31st Dynasty.

مدينة المائة باب هي مدينة الأقصر الأثرية، ومن أطلق عليها تسمية مدينة المائة باب هو هوميروس المؤرّخ الإغريقيّ؛ وذلك بسبب أبنِيَتها ذات الأبواب الكبيرة. كان لمدينة الأقصر عدّة أسماء على مرّ العصور، ومن هذه الأسماء: وايست، وطيبة في العصر الرومانيّ، وكانت طيبة عاصمةً لمصر الفرعونيّة، كما سُمِّيت مدينة الشّمس، ومدينة الصولجان، ومدينة النّور، أمّا اسمها الحاليّ الأقصر فقد أطلقه العرب عليها؛ لكثرة القصور الأثريّة فيها. ويعود تاريخ تأسيس مدينة الأقصر إلى ما يقارب عام 2575ق.م في فترة حكم الأسرة الرّابعة في عهد أمنحُتِب الأول؛ حيث كانت الأقصر (طيبة) هي العاصمة حتّى عام 332ق.م عندما أسقط الفرس الأسرة الحادية والثلاثين.
