Will Morocco succeed in hosting the 2026 World Cup? هل ينجح المغرب في استضافة كأس العالم 2026؟

على الرغم من عدم مشاركة الولايات المتحدة فى نهائيات كأس العالم فى روسيا 2018 ، غير أن تنظيم الحدث كان دائما مسعى أمريكيا، لكن مع بقاء ثلاثة أشهر أو يزيد قليلا على كونجرس الفيفا الذى يصوت خلاله 211 عضوا على حق الاستضافة، فإن الشكوك تحوم حول فوز بلاد "العم سام" بهذا الشرف.

ويرى المراقبون أن خسارة حق التنظيم سيكون صعباً على الولايات المتحدة لأن الولع باللعبة فى أمريكا الشمالية جعل الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وكندا تبدو واثقة من أنها بملف مشترك سيكون من السهل عليها هزيمة المغرب، وأن التصويت سيكون مسألة شكلية.
ويقول مسؤول فى الفيفا على اتصال مستمر مع كل الاتحادات القارية، إن المغرب يحظى بدعم غالبية الاتحادات فى آسيا وامريكا الجنوبية وبجانب بالطبع الاتحادات الأفريقية وهو ما يعنى حصولها على أكثر من 104 أصوات مطلوبة للفوز بحق التنظيم ولا يسمح للدول الأربع المتقدمة بحق التنظيم التصويت، كما أن اتحاد جواتيمالا لن يصوت بسبب إيقافه.

وعلى العكس، يرى مسؤول آخر أنه على الرغم من أن الملف المشترك بقيادة الولايات المتحدة سيواجه منافسة صعبة لكنه سوف يحصل على الأصوات المطلوبة حيث يحظى بدعم دول الامريكتين والاوقيانوس وغالبية الدول الاوروبية وعدد من الدول الآسيوية.

وفى النهاية يبقى على العالم ان ينتظر حتى شهر يونيو المقبل لمعرفة الدولة التى ستحصل على حق تنظيم مونديال 2026 وسط دعوات جميع العرب والأفارقة بفوز المغرب بحق التنظيم فى محاولتها الثالثة بعد ان خسرت السباق فى مونديالى 2006 و2010.
