علم النفس الاجتماعي
هو المجال الذي يخطر في بال الكثيرين عند ذكر علم النفس، ويتناول دراسة الناس وكيفية تفاعلهم مع بيئتهم، ومع بعضهم البعض، ويضم الاستشارات التي تخص الأفراد، والجماعات، والأزواج، ويعمل متخصصو هذا المجال في أماكن عديدة منها مراكز علاج مدمني المخدرات، ومراكز علاج ضحايا الاعتداء، والمدارس للمساعدة في التنمية الأكاديمية والمهنية.
علم النفس السريري وعلم الشواذ
يقوم هذان المجالان بالعمل على تقييم الصحة النفسية للأفراد، ومعرفة فيما إذا كانوا بحاجة إلى العلاج، ويتعامل متخصصو هذا المجال مع الأشخاص الذين يعانون من اضطرابات نفسية غير طبيعية، ويعتمدان على جوانب أخرى من علم النفس منها علم النفس التجريبي، وعلم النفس التنموي، وعلم الإرشاد.
علم النفس التربوي
يضم هذا المجال علماء النفس الاجتماعي في المدارس، ومعالجي النطق، كما أن متخصصي هذا المجال يشاركون في تطوير المناهج الدراسية، والاختبارات التربوية، ودعم ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
علم النفس الشرعي
يقوم هذا المجال بتطبيق المعرفة، والنظرية، والمهارات النفسية لفهم آداء نظم العدالة القانونية والجنائية، وإجراء البحوث في المجالات ذات الصلة، ويعمل متخصصو هذا المجال في خدمة المتقاضيين، والجناة، والضحايا، وموظفي الحكومة والمنظمات الاجتماعية.
علم النفس التنظيمي
يضم هذا المجال الخبرة في إدراة الآداء، وتعيين الموظفين، والتعلم والتطوير، وإدارة القيادات والمواهب، والتدريب، والتوجيه، والتطوير المهني، والرفاه، والتوازن بين العمل والحياة.
علم النفس البيولوجي
هو دراسة الآليات البيولوجية الكامنة وراء السلوك، ومتخصصو هذا المجال يهتمون في الدماغ، والجهاز العصبي، والغدد الصماء، والعمليات العضوية الأخرى.

Is a field that many people think about when mentioning psychology, and it deals with the study of people and how they interact with their environment, and with each other, and includes consultations that concern individuals, groups and couples, and specialists in this field in many places including drug treatment centers, Abuse, and schools to help academic and professional development.
Clinical Psychology and Gay Science
These two areas work to assess the psychological health of individuals, and know if they need treatment, and deal with specialists in this area with people suffering from abnormal psychological disorders, and rely on other aspects of psychology, including experimental psychology, developmental psychology, and guidance science .
Educational psychology
This field includes social psychologists in schools, speech therapists, and specialists in this field participate in the development of curricula, educational tests, and support for people with special needs.
Forensic psychology
This field applies knowledge, theory, and psychological skills to understand the performance of legal and criminal justice systems, and conducts research in relevant fields, and specialists in this field serve the litigants, offenders, victims, government employees and social organizations.

This field is concerned with the scientific study of basic behavioral and cognitive processes, including learning, memory, cognition, attention, and problem solving.
