What is Muffler?
Is a device attached to the nozzle of the gun, which reduces the blinking and the sound of the weapon when fired.
It is important to note that it does not completely silence the sound, but works to reduce it, we hear a low voice soft rather than loud voice.
So how does it work?
The muzzle is a hollow cylindrical tube made of steel, aluminum or titanium, consisting of expansion chambers, which form the functional part of it.

ما هو كاتمُ الصوتِ؟
هو جهازٌ يتمُّ وصلهُ بفوهة البندقيّة، يعملُ على تخفيف الوميض والصّوت الصّادر عن السلاح عندَ إطلاق النار.
من المهمّ أن نشيرَ إلى أنه لا يكتمُ الصوتَ نهائيًا وإنما يعملُ على تخفيفه فنسمعُ صوتًا منخفضًا ناعمًا بدلًا من الصّوت المدوّي.
إذًا كيفَ يعمل؟
الكاتمُ هو أنبوبٌ أسطوانيٌ أجوفٌ يتمُّ تصنيعه من الفولاذ أو الألمنيوم أو التيتانيوم، يتكونُ من حجراتِ توسيعٍ وهي تشكّل الجزءَ العمليَّ الوظيفيَ منه.
عندما تضغط الزناد يشتعلُ البارود خلفَ الرّصاصة مما يولّد ضغطًا عاليًا من الغاز الحارّ وهذا يعطي الرّصاصةَ دفعةً قويةً للانطلاق بسرعةٍ كبيرةٍ.
في اللحظة التي تخرج بها الرصاصةُ من فوّهة البندقية ينطلق الغاز ذو الضّغط العالي متمددًا خارج فوّهة البندقية مما يتسبّب بصدور صوت فرقعةٍ عاليةٍ.
لكن ماذا لو جعلنا الغازَ يتمددُ داخلَ البندقية؟
كاتمُ الصوت سيزوّدنا بطولٍ إضافيٍ كما أنّ حجمه أكبر بـ 30 مرة من حجم أسطوانة وفوّهة المسدس، والأهم أنه مكونٌ من حجرات التوسيع مما سيسمحُ للغاز المنطلق أن يتمددّ داخل تلك السلسلة من الحجرات بعد ذلك سيخرجُ الغاز من الفوهة ممددًا ومنخفضَ الضغط بشكلٍ كبيرٍ وبالتالي سيكون الصّوتُ منخفضًا.

Qu'est-ce que Muffler?
