RE: My Personal Morning Ritual, and Why You Should Create One Too

in #morningroutine6 years ago

Great article @rainbowrachel. I need to make this transition. My wake up routine....I don't really have one, I wake up check Steemit plus a couple of things and then mediate for 30-45 mins before I leave for work. I try to keep focus my meditations on being mindful and releasing negativity. My work environment is filled with negativity and animosity, it is completely toxic. To the point some mornings when I get home I am a bundle of nerves and takes me a couple of hours to unwind to sleep. During my work week. I have to do a sleep meditation, there is too much racing in my brain to quiet it down otherwise.

I can imagine how hard that must be having to go into a toxic environment for hours at a time every day. It's great you already have a regular meditation practice in place, I'm sure that's helping a ton! But maybe you could start some kind of ritual for your drive home from work, to help you get back into a calmer, more peaceful state more quickly. Like incorporating podcasts, or audio meditations, or inspiring messages, like Abraham-Hicks, or Tony Robbins, and listen to them on your drive home. Maybe that would help you to destress more quickly, and give you something to look forward to about the commute home. Or Yoga Nidra is a great thing to listen to around bedtime to help with unwinding. Just an idea though!

Thanks reading and commenting, and good luck with coming up with some rituals that help serve you even more!
