Token Burning and the Burning Mechanism in Morbex
Token burning is a method used by cryptocurrency projects to manipulate a token's market price or coin. This is accomplished by withdrawing some tokens from circulation forever. Coin burning is the technique by which cryptocurrency miners and developers erase tokens or coins from circulation, decreasing the total circulating quantity of currencies and slowing inflation rates.
Getting prepared
Yield farming takes a little work to get set up.
You’re going to need some "LP Tokens" to enter into a Farm with. Farms can only accept their own exact LP Token; for example, the BEX-BNB Farm will only accept BEX-BNB LP Tokens. To get the exact LP Token, you'll need to provide liquidity for that trading pair. So to get BEX-BNB LP Tokens, you'll first have to provide liquidity for the BEX-BNB pair.
It may sound intimidating, but it's not too complicated. Let's go through step by step.
Finding your Farm
Before you proceed, you'll want to choose a Farm that's right for you. Visit the Farms page and you’ll see a list of available Farms.
BEX-BNB are pinned to the top of the list with the default Hot sorting. After the pinned Farms, Hot will show other Farms in order of how new they are.
You can choose another sorting option if you like, such as by APR for the Farms with the highest reward rate currently.
When you find a Farm that you'd like to use, note down the trading pair, e.g. BNB-BEX in case you need it later.
Providing liquidity to get LP Tokens
Now that you've found a Farm to stake in, you will need to add liquidity to get your LP Tokens.
- Click on the row of the Farm you've chosen from the list. It will open to show more details.
- On the left, you'll see some links. Click the Get (your pair) LP link.
This will open the Add Liquidity page for your Farm's pair. We have a guide to adding liquidity you can follow to get your LP Tokens.
Putting your
Security Concerns
Timelock added to contract at launch: Before the introduction of the MasterChef contract, timelock was implemented. After RMARS-BNB, RMARS-BUSD LP is added to the ownership transfer tax.
Removed migrator code (inherited from Pancake swap): Their MasterChef contract no longer includes the migrator code.
Emergency Withdraw: Farmers may still withdraw their tokens by interacting directly with the MasterChef contract if something goes wrong with Morbex' front end, like a DDOS attack or a short outage. To withdraw your staked tokens, use the emergencyWithdraw method with the farm or pool id provided below.
Diffchecker: The contract for MarsChefv2 was forked from pantherswap. You may compare two contracts to see how they differ. There is no difference in function, only a name change.
