Darya Farivar seems to be illustrative of the social contagion that's causing so many problems in the West.
She seems to think that crime, up to and including assault with sexual intent, is a product of "the system" and "mental health" is a problem with "the system" and "mental health."
That's bullshit.
Well it's not complete bullshit. The problem with the rise in misdemeanor and "gross misdemeanor" (their words, not mine) crimes are a product of her system and her philosophy.
To reasonable people, property rights are important. Even if you're an atheist, you understand the value of the Golden Rule. Western civilization is predicted on a Lockian value of ownership, including the idea that your body is your property.
Every person with a room temperature IQ knows that these criminals know that what they're doing is...well...criminal. If you're completely unaware that what you're doing is criminal, you wouldn't make conscious effort to try to get away with it.
The problem is the social contagion of...well...socialism.
People aren't committing these crimes out of desperation, or because they don't know better. It's because they have bad moral values. Most of them think that morality is only what exists in your head.
Even if they couldn't explain what "intersectionality" means, they're aware of the idea that stealing is only bad if you're stealing from somebody with less than you.
Of course, these people only act on their own perceptions. It's not like the dude who smashed my car window and stole my camera several years ago did his due diligence, audited my bank account, made an assessment of how well-off I was in comparison to him, and reasonably decided that his actions would even us out.
All this bill is going to do is perpetuate the cycle that we've been seeing for years -- criminals getting away with everything and average citizens paying the bills.
This is all because a bunch of aggressive morons think that property doesn't matter. It's all because schooling is getting in the way of education, and people have started to believe that autonomy and property are simply subjective, western values that should be destroyed.
This is dangerous. This is evil.
