Cúpula de la Capella de la “Santa Sindone”
La capilla de la “Santa Sindone” albergó la famosa Sábana Santa hasta hace 21 años que hubo un terrible incendio y casi desaparece calcinada. Hace dos meses ha sido reabierta tras su restauración y este es el aspecto de la cúpula visto desde abajo. Esta capilla restaurada es una magnífica obra del barroco italiano diseñada por Guarini. Vale la pena visitar Turin para contemplarla.
The chapel of the "Santa Sindone" housed the famous Shroud until 21 years ago that there was a terrible fire and almost disappears burned. Two months ago it was reopened after its restoration and this is the aspect of the dome seen from below. This restored chapel is a magnificent work of Italian Baroque designed by Guarini. It is worth visiting Turin to admire it.
