The name of this art photograph is: "NYMPHEA"

Beautiful flowers of nymphs adorn my pond. Many call them water lilies. These flowers are rightly called the queen of ponds. So nice to look at the surface of the water, decorated with flowers nymphs.

With this amazing and exquisitely beautiful plant associated with many stories and various legends. And every nation has its own legend of a white jug.

Nymphea for the ancient Slavs was a special flower. They used it in magic, as protection against evil spirits, from evil, as well as with the help of water lilies they treated various diseases. Lily for the Slavs served as an amulet, when they went on a long journey, they always took it with them, hiding in special small bags-amulets. These people believed that the petals of the white lily would protect them from unhappiness along the way. The Slavs also believed that the white lily is the appearance of mermaids, they called it the “mermaid flower”.

“Nymph unconditionally in love with Hercules” was the name of the legend of the ancient Greeks. An innocent and young nymph lived in the world, she spent the night at the bottom of the reservoir, and in the mornings she came and admired the sunrise. And one morning she saw Hercules when he washed, she swam up to him and fell in love with him at first sight. But Hercules, without even looking at her, left, and the nymph looked after him sadly, and therefore could no longer go to the bottom. Carla Lynn loved this legend, and he called the white lily nymph. And the girls of ancient Greece believed that the nymph was a divine flower, they used this plant as an ornament for hair and clothing.

The Romans white water lily was a special flower. They also called her the white flower of Osiris, and all because Osiris, the husband of the goddess Isis, after each night of love spent with her, gave her wife a large garland of river lilies. Nymphae was also depicted on Egyptian state coins. Decorations of lilies were present at every festival of the Romans, they even decorated temples.
