Esta fotografía que tomé un par de años atrás, corresponde a Terry, un perro mestizo fruto del cruce de un Samoyedo con una perra Labradora de patas cortas. Terry vino al mundo el 25 de octubre de 2016 en una camada de cuatro cachorros, los cuales serían dados en adopción a diferentes familia que fueron contactadas por redes sociales por activistas y fundaciones locales, que persiguen brindarles un hogar a mascotas en medio de la grave situación venezolana, que también los afecta cuando sus padres adoptivos se ven en la necesidad de abandonarlos a su suerte en la calle.

El Samoyedo es una raza de canes que toma su nombre de los pueblos nómadas del norte de Rusia, quienes lo crían para ayudarles con las labores de pastoreo, tirar de trineos, e incluso, por su densa doble capa de pelo, mantienen a sus dueños calientes por las noches al dormir a su lado. Por su parte, el Labrador es un animal de compañía para la familia, pero también es común verlo posar como perro de exhibición en shows de belleza y realizando trabajos como perro para la caza, ya que posee una mordida muy efectiva para recoger la presa, al no causarle daños.

Lamentablemente, no pudimos escapar de la grave crisis y del colapso de los servicios públicos que azota al país, particularmente en los apartamentos donde la escasez de agua se agudiza, por lo que nos vimos en la muy dolorosa decisión de desprendernos de nuestro hijo peludo Terry, en noviembre del pasado año, para lo cual ubicamos una señora dispuesta a brindarle todo el amor y el cuidado que le prodigáramos durante los dos años que estuvo entre nosotros. Afortunadamente Terry, hoy en día se encuentra feliz en su nuevo hogar donde posee un patio para jugar y distraerse.

La fotografía original en colores, fue intervenida haciendo uso de los filtros y herramientas de edición de la aplicación PicsArt, la cual recomiendo ampliamente por su versatilidad, aún en su versión gratuita.

This photograph that I took a couple of years ago, corresponds to Terry, a mongrel dog fruit of the crossing of a Samoyed with a Labrador (Retriever) with short legs. Terry came to the world on October 25, 2016 in a litter of four puppies, which would be given in adoption to different families who were contacted by social networks by activists and local foundations, which seek to provide a home for pets in The Venezuelan situation, which also affects them when their adoptive parents find themselves in need of abandoning them to their fate in the street.

The Samoyed is a breed of dogs that takes its name from the nomadic peoples of northern Russia, who raise it to help them with the work of grazing, pulling sleds, and even, by its dense double layer of hair, keep its owners warm at night when sleeping next to them. On the other hand, the Labrador is a companion animal for the family, but it is also common to see it pose as an exhibition dog in beauty shows and doing work as a dog for hunting, since it has a very effective bite to collect the dam, by not causing damage.

Unfortunately, we could not escape the serious crisis and the collapse of public services that plague the country, particularly in apartments where water shortages are acute, so we saw in the very painful decision to get rid of our hairy son Terry, in November last year, for which we located a lady willing to provide all the love and care that we lavished during the two years he was among us. Fortunately Terry, today is happy in his new home where he has a playground to play and distract.

The original color photograph was intervened using the filters and editing tools of the application PicsArt, which I highly recommend for its versatility, even in its free version.
