La Basílica Menor de Santa Rosa de Lima es un templo católico ubicado en la pequeña población de Santa Rosa del Cerrito, comúnmente conocida como Santa Rosa, al extremo este de la ciudad de Barquisimeto. Esta iglesia es desde mediados del Siglo XVIII, el hogar de la imagen de la Divina Pastora, advocación mariana que tendría su origen en la ciudad española de Sevilla, y que llegaría a tierras venezolanas hacia el año 1740 cuando el Vicario parroquial de la iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción, quiso incorporar a su templo una imagen de la Divina Pastora, sin embargo, la imagen llegaría por error a este poblado donde permanece desde entonces.

Cada 14 de enero, la imagen sale en hombros de los feligreses en un recorrido de siete kilómetros y medio que la conducirá en procesión hasta la Catedral Metropolitana de la ciudad. Posteriormente, recorrerá todas las parroquias barquisimetanas hasta el sábado anterior al inicio de la Semana Santa, cuando regresa a su hogar en Santa Rosa, donde permanecerá hasta el mes de enero del próximo año.

En esta ocasión, a diferencia de publicaciones anteriores, la imagen original la realicé en escala de grises, opción que me permite el teléfono móvil que uso, para luego hacer uso de las herramientas de edición que presenta la aplicación PicsArt hasta lograr resaltar aquellas características que a mi juicio le agregan valor a la foto.

On this occasion, unlike previous publications, the original image was made in gray scale, an option that allows me to use the mobile phone, to then make use of the editing tools presented by the application PicsArt until achieving highlight those characteristics that in my opinion add value to the photo.
