Esta fotografía corresponde a la parte posterior del campanario de la Basílica Menor de Santa Rosa de Lima, ubicada en la población de Santa Rosa, a corta distancia de la ciudad de Barquisimeto. En ocasiones anteriores, he tenido la oportunidad de compartir imágenes de la fachada central de la iglesia, de sus alrededores y de su interior, donde es posible divisar el nicho que sirve para alojar la imagen de la Divina Pastora.

Este templo católico construido inicialmente a mediados del Siglo XVII para evangelizar a los indígenas que habitaban en las cercanías, sería reconstruido posteriormente al terremoto que azotara el 26 de marzo de 1812, gran parte del territorio venezolano, y que afectaría la estructura, con excepción del lugar donde se encontraba la venerada imagen.

La fotografía original fue tomada a color pocos meses atrás y posteriormente modificada con las herramientas que proporciona el editor de imágenes PicsArt, empleando en esta ocasión, una superposición de filtros del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) que permite lograr una mayor amplitud de tonos que los filtros usados usuales.

This photograph corresponds to the back of the bell tower of the Minor Basilica of Santa Rosa de Lima, located in the town of Santa Rosa, a short distance from the city of Barquisimeto. On previous occasions, I have had the opportunity to share images of the central façade of the church, its surroundings and its interior, where it is possible to see the niche that serves to house the image of the Divina Pastora.

This catholic temple built initially in the middle of the 17th century to evangelize the indigenous people who lived nearby, would be reconstructed after the earthquake that struck on March 26, 1812, a large part of the Venezuelan territory, and that would affect the structure, except for the place where the venerated image was.

The original photograph was taken a few months ago and later modified with the tools provided by the image editor PicsArt, using on this occasion, an overlay of filters of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) type that allows to achieve a greater amplitude of tones than the usual used filters.
