My MonoMad Post ~ LArchitecture
I took this photo in downtown Los Angeles, but I can't recall if the view is from Union Station or from Olvera Street, and I don't know what building it is...and that makes this image perfect for #MonoMad, the daily photo contest created by @brumest and curated by @monochromes, the contest made for craziness just like that.

That building is the location of the company that runs LA's Metro Transit....which needed to spend millions and millions of tax payer money to import fancy Italian Marble to cover the whole building instead of spending it on the public and transportation.
This pic had to be taken near the train station, Union Station, for the building would not have been so vertical in the photograph from Olvera St.
Thanks for clearing that up for me. The back story about the marble sounds about right for government.
