Here's my entry into the #monomad Thursday Animals competition run by @brumest.

This handsome man is known as Chook Chook (not named by us), he's a lady amherst pheasant. He's our adopted fly in, fly out pet. I have been trying to get a good photo of him for weeks/months but he is a little scared still and can and rather skittish so it has been a mission! I certainly hope to get more in the future, he is a spectacular bird!

Yes I'm really happy with it. He is SO hard to photograph! I took about 100 photos and of those 100, there are only a couple that turned out really great! He's very skittish and because he's quite chicken like, trying to keep him in frame is quite a challenge. He visits us twice a day so I'm hoping to have some more success in the future.

I'm excited to share it in colour soon too. It is amazing in both B&W and colour : )
