THAT SMALL GESTURE WILL MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE TO US!
“Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.”
Hi
I am not much of a people shooter, so no, I didn't use it for portraits. I prefer nature related subjects.
But my brother in law did. This is actually his lens, I just borrowed it.
You can check one of his images captured with it here: https://steemit.com/photography/@marekwojciakcom/georgian-beauty
It's a magic lens, but a bit expensive (if you're aiming to get one in good conditions).
Try to get your hands on a Helios 44-2
It's the Russian version. Exact the same optic formula as they "borrowed" the Zeiss plans after WW2.
Sooo beautiful!! I'm a day a way from winning myself my first Carl Zeiss Jena 50 2.8 (1968 m32), i'm accustomed to the wide open 1.4 lenses but i was drawn to the sharpness this lens is said to have. i guess we'll see if it's still got that creammy creammmy bokeh!
You can't go wrong with any of those vintage Zeiss. The Jena 50 2.8 has a gorgeous bokeh.
I own a Flektogon 35 2.4 and it's a remarkable piece of glass too. Very sharp, even when wide open.

Oh my! How dreamy 😍
Have you used that lens for portraits? I’d love to get my hands on one of those to try! (My main camera is an A7II)
