Contemporary lens makers are constantly trying to correct all the optic "defects" from the past, such as barrel distortion, ghosting, etc. Searching for that "perfect" image, whatever that is anyway.
Ironically those are actually the characteristics why some people are looking for those old vintage pearls again and mounting them on their modern camera bodies, specially full frame mirror-less ones.
The bokeh (blur) achieved with a vintage lens is incomparably better than any modern sterile piece of glass built mainly with one thing in mind, sharpness.
Both next images were shot with a Pentacon 50mm, built in the old GDR.

I am not really sure what the next subject is, I just know that it's a baby bush of some type.
I spotted it while walking around in a little park near my place.
To be honest I wasn't caring much about the "model" when I was shooting these, all I wanted to see was the "fireworks" in the background of each image.
