Monochrome Monday - Leaves
This is my contribution to #MonochromeMonday - initiated by @old-guy-photos. Thank you for this!
There is always a battle between light and darkness, between the living and the dead, between white and black. It's time to dump the leaves. The leaves dry, and carpeted on the ground to eventually disappear under a snow blanket.
Not so much a battle, but a cycle. It's also possible that it's just a really, really slow transition. From light, the big bang, to darkness, the death of all stars.
Nice pictures. Normally we see leaves as just a bunch of green thingies on a tree. They don't have the colorful appeal of flowers, for example, but take away all color and voila! The complexity of their shape and inner veins comes out to surprise and amaze.
