Germans say every country they invaded was for a reason. They invaded Czechoslovakia for gold reserves, they invaded Norway because Germany used a lot of iron ore from northern Sweden. The Norwegian port of Narvik was the main route the ore was transported to Germany. The North Sea was a more reliable water way than the Baltic Sea. To secure these shippings, Norway was to be occupied. They also invaded Poland, Denmark....All of them for a reason as they say. Afterall they just wanted to get ahold of every European country. At least that was their plan.
