This Unbelievable Monito!

"Monito" or "monita" refers to the person you are exchanging your gift with during yuletide season.

This morning, we had our office christmas party held. it was fun, really. The games, production numbers/ intermission, fellowship with the family... it was an awesome party and I was quite pleased with it. Not until our Exchange Gift segment.

I gave my gift to an officemate. his wish on our wishlist board says he wanted a bluetooth speaker, so I did went to the mall and find a nice, durable bt speaker for him. However, when it was time for me to receive my gift, I was dumbfounded. I cannot imagine this gift. 😂

This is how it was when given to me. Lovely! 😂

And when I opened that brown bag, I saw a box covered by a cheap blue plastic bag, the ones where fish are placed in markets.

To add to my disappointment, the receipt of the gift (which happens to be a bluetooth speaker also) was still there! it indicates the price which was really below the price we agreed on our gifts.

Oh, wow. I thought it was a prank. But it was not. I had a mix of feelings. Shock, disbelief, sorta disappointment and still a bit of weird kind of fun??? I was laughing hard and so were my officemates. but I also felt bad in a way.

Anyway. On my years of existence and attendance in christmas parties, this, so far, is the most unbelievable monito I had.
