52 Weeks Saving Money Challenge
I used to save more than 50% of my salary every month. I just wonder if I can save more. So I conduct this 52 Weeks Saving Challenge.
On week 2 now, still very comfortable.
Tips for saving money:
Bring your own bottle or tumbler
Although you may not find a place to refill. At least you saved a few dollars for the first drink.
Try to cook yourself
When you go to the restaurant, the money you spend for unhealthy food and cost and profit of the restaurant
Save the coins
Put all the coins from your pocket to the piggy bank when you back home. Do that for a year, you will see how much you save!
Use cash instead of credit card
This seems a old school method but when you use cash you will feel the "pain", when you use credit card, it just a swipe or just a tap
Keep track of your personal expenses (At least 1 month)
I know is hard, please try to do it for 1 month nothing more just 1 month. Then you will see where is your money spent. Then try to cut 10% of it. If you're a smoker try not to smoke for once a week. I'm not asking you to quite sharply but just once a week. Then if you're good with that then try twice a week and so on. It can adapt to drinking and eating heavily too.
There are lots of free apps you can find when you google "expenses calculator".
Use the library
If you were a bookworm, try to find the book from the library first, if they don't have it. Try to find it in the second hand market, if the second hand market does not have the book you want. Then the third way is to buy a new one.
If you will reread it then keep it, if not just sell it. Your should always keep your book shelf mobilise. Don't think of someone who will visit your house they will admire what you read, no way.
