Huge Profits From This State Becoming a Medical Marijuana Powerhouse

This spring 2018 Pennsylvania will legalise medical marijuana joining neighbouring states like NY and Maryland and with its large population of 13 million people it will become one of the biggest markets in the USA for medical Cannabis. In fact both Drs and patients are registering in unprecedented numbers ahead of the law coming into force and the States health department has issued 27 dispensary licences and 12 grower and processor licences which is actually ahead of schedule (a rarity in the legalised marijuana space - reported in the Marijuana Business Daily on Jan 15th ).

About 1 million Pennsylvanians are able to qualify for for medical MJ treatment and a possible upto 200,000 will be for chronic pain and as an alternative to opiate painkillers. There is an opioid crisis going on at the moment (Very much the fault of the government that seems to think highly addictive opiates are a much safer way than 'very dangerous' plant material from cannabis)

There is a company that is likely to benefit very much from this state legalising medical cannabis and that is UK based GW Pharmaceuticals Inc (NYSE:GWPH) that is traded on the NYSE stock exchange. They have first mover advantage in that they are the first to get market approval and they have another cannabis drug just on the cusp of being approved by the FDA for the 3 million epilepsy sufferers in the States - Epidiolex.

I have added GW Pharmaceuticals to my stocks and can see potential huge gains when FDA approval comes in and then later approval for use in Europe.
