(Video) Millennials: You Will NEVER Own a Home! Here’s Why.

in #money7 years ago

Millennials will be unable to ever afford a home based on the current trajectory. There’s just no possible way that could ever happen. There’s so much debt. There’s no good jobs. And the working middle class aren’t about to donate their measly savings with the millennials. It’s become a complete joke recently and while central planners can continue to push stock prices upward artificially, you can’t push an economy upward.

If the millennials are employees then maybe no chance of buying a home. Can't keep up with the rise in prices

Unfortunately true

Just about 90% of friends I know in Northern California in their 20's is living with their parents and working as bartenders and waitresses to pay off their college debt, even ones that dropped out. Evens ones that are doing OK will say there is no way they can buy. One even suggested he was going to buy a cheap place in Asia so he could pay it off quickly and just rent at home. I feel sorry for this latest generation, they are being stuck with their own debt, but also the debt of many generations before them.

Updated and Resteemed.

Thank you for the input.

This is totally true, talking here from Argentina, I can say the situation is the same here

Thank you for the Argentina perspective

Are millennials in trouble or will things work themselves out?

I owned a home. I then had to sell it because of financial reasons after some legal issues my neighbors caused. (was strata) I'm now looking at a long road to owning again...

Same here, 40 years old, forever alone and renter for the rest of my life

We are being strangled by our governments.

Government kept me afloat after I lost everything. Let me focus on, and helped me out, finding a job. I was getting strangled by spiteful neighbors and layoffs due to changing work requirements.

Millennials can do what they want

Awesome video and I agree. Such a shame that society deems it important to "own" a home when "owning" simply means have a massive loan to be in debt for; allowing the bnks to inflate the economy by creating money out of thin air.

It's the whole system that is rotten. It's a fraud.

I'm not from the US but this post really help. It gave me an insight what's going on why it's hard these days to own a home. Thank you.

You're welcome. Glad it helped. The situation has become insane

Basically, you gotta win the lottery to be able to buy in. Or live paycheck to paycheck, for decades, even if you make decent money at current prices to be able to buy. A 75% discount to current prices, would make it affordable again. Will be cheering for prices to fall!
