I am fairly new to the world of crypto currency and this is the way I'm seeing it.
I would like to have other opinions to see if I'm in line with with everyone else?
Bitcoin: is the crypto of the kings.
Ethereum: is the crypto of the gentlemen.
Steem: is the crypto of the peasants.
And dept is always for slaves.

I think that everybody here will agree with the quotation of Franz. And will also agree that BTC is the "crypto of the kings".
As far the other spots, there will be a lot of different opinions.
Personally, I think that in the spot of the "crypto of the gentlemen" could be ETH (as you wrote), but also could be DASH or LTC. Other people could also add other coins in this category.
Steem could be "crypto of the peasants".
I wonder how to classify Ripple?
