Long Visa, MasterCard, and XRP

Those 3 companies looking at doing bank remittances (possibly involving the ripple payment protocol) it seems. Would you long those 3 companies and XRP maybe!? I am interested to hear what you guys think about this! This is a pretty big market they are entering, in my opinion. Any comments or insight greatly appreciated, please do discuss/critique!

I'm excited by Ripple. I know some people begrudge it because it is centralised and therefore not a 'true' cryptocurrency, but ultimately this makes it more enticing to mainstream financial institutions.

I think it's likely to be the 'gateway' for large banks to leave fiat and enter the world of blockchain, and that can only be a positive thing in my opinion.

Naturally, this news may not necessarily affect the price of Ripple anytime soon. However, it goes to show a lot is happening behind the scenes where XRP is concerned. Partnerships in the financial world are invaluable. Developing such projects can take many years until they become available. Knowing MasterCard/Visa are interested is quite significant, to say the least. It will be interesting to see how this plays out moving forward. Certainly one for the future.
