Liberty Light Brigade 10 -A Change of Direction

Have you seen the movie Inception? It's a movie about a group of people who can insert themselves inside dreams. Good movie. Good enough that I like to put it on in the background while I'm surfing around on the web. I'm told by my family I've only watched it, oh, 40-50 times! LOL. There's a scene in the movie where they're discussing the best strategy to get the results they want on their next mission and Mr. DiCaprio's character says something that I've been thinking about.I was having a talk with one of my kids in the backyard this morning. He made me think about this too. The idea behind the dialogue was that people react to positive reinforcement much better than they do to negative reinforcement.. Well, I do believe that, and because of that line, and what my kid was saying this morning about the title of my blog, I'm taking a different tact with my comments going forward.
I guess for years, decades really, I've been very upset at how our freedoms & lives have been more and more dominated by government to the point you almost feel you have to get governmental permission to take a leak. Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, and On Capitalism, gave me the validations of my feelings when I was in high school. When I had kids, I couldn't help but think about what type of country my generation would be leaving for them, and I wasn't happy.
Fast forward to today, and you'd think our country is full of people filled with hate and jealously. If you're a Liberal you're only happy if there's hatred and pain and jealousy of people who're better off than you are so you can use that hate and jealousy as a tool to bring upheaval and Socialism to our country. Well I have to say if the only news you see is from the mainstream media, it's easy to see why you'd think that way. But it isn't so. We are all working and getting on with our lives, and having a good time at it.... My Dad used to say that strangers are just friends you haven't me yet, and I think that's true.
I'm getting off point a bit.. My kids know of my blog here and they like the name. But one was surprised when he started reading my posts and found that they're really filled with negative thoughts. It caught me by surprise. He said, it was such a great title, filled with hope. People who see the light of Liberty and celebrate it !!!! Damn, he's right. So I've seen the light.. Let's look at how Liberty is growing in our world,and how good it will be.. Thanks Evan..
