Once is More Than Enough

As with anything in life, if you do something with love and enjoy it, once is more than enough.

Don’t you think, the following things are right?

1. One true love is more than enough
2. One life changing decision
3. One life changing investment in your portfolio

If you think of it, the list is endless. The same applies to money making. If you make money once, it’s more than enough. The next 2 generations don’t have to worry about making money. But they should be worried about how to safeguard the accumulated wealth.
I’ve heard stories about how ultra rich families lose their wealth in a matter of 30 years. It could happen to anyone. The reasons could be millions. It could be due to a bad decision, a bad government policy, personal behaviour, etc.

Let’s say someone who’s been working for 2 decades wants to retire before the official retirement age. His/her family members start to question their decision because they don’t get this concept.

Assuming they are in a situation where earning more money doesn’t make any more difference in their life. (Hedonic Threadmill Theory)

I would suggest everyone reading this piece to advice your family members about finances.

Most folks don’t have much idea how finances work. Tell them strongly that you don’t need to be working to maintain the same lifestyle.

They will listen, not immediately but with time. If done right, earning once in a lifetime is more than enough and the rest should be to safeguard the wealth.
