How Will You Spend Your 13th Month Pay?
This is the most awaited time of the year!
Time for left and right Christmas parties, countless gift-givings, festive banquets
And of course, the 13th Month Pay!!!
Though receiving a bulk sum of your one-month salary equivalent is so overwhelming, you have to make sure such grace will be well-spent. Remember, you've waited for this all year long!
The following tips might give you an idea on how to maximize your hard-earned money in this joyous season:
Pay-off debt
Ending the year without any debts is a great way to be ready for the upcoming year ahead. If you still have an outstanding debt balance, you might want to consider paying them first. I'm pretty sure you'll run out of cash as the Holiday Season subsides.
Establish an Emergency Fund
If you have an Emergency Fund already, consider topping it up! This will surely save you from unexpected expenses in the future. If you haven't started yet, then this is the best time to start.
Invest in Stocks, Mutual Funds, or Cryptocurrency
I believe most of us here on Steemit are already doing Cryptocurrency trading. Since the Crypto Market has been shaky lately, you can invest a part of your earnings in Stock Market or Mutual Funds instead. Though the returns can be low, the risks of such investment vehicles are minimal compared to Crypto Trading.
Christmas is a time of giving! But isn't it amazing to give something to your future self?
Treat Yourself
This is a note to myself. All-year round, I barely bought anything for myself since there are more important things which I believe to be more important than my wants. But this time, I want to treat myself for the things I've been wanting lately. And you should do the same too. Claim it! You deserve it!
Bless Others
All year-round, you have the opportunity to bless others. Yet, Christmas is considered to be the time wherein this act of kindness intensifies. So bless others with what you have. It doesn't necessary to be costly, as long as it comes from the heart.
According to Bo Sanchez, the purpose of wealth is to bless others. The wealthier we are, the more we should give back.
