RE: Learning to Receive - Basic Income sources - Can you let it in?

in #money7 years ago

Nice article! It seems like cryptocurrencies are the way to go for basic income, especially Steem where money can keep paying out over time, requiring only a single initial payment.

The US dollar inflates at a rate of 2% per year, on average. Think if this 2% was spread equally among all people, providing for basic necessities and helping them out of financial problems. And plus, the dollar would inflate as normal, and there would be no financial crisis due to high inflation!

The problem with UBI cryptocurrencies is adoption.

Manna has to be used for transactions, all inside the platform for it to succeed. It needs to stop people from selling and lowering the price, and even convince people to buy it.

Have you heard of circles? I think it does basic income really well, in a very innovative way.

I'm definitely upvoting and following you!

Thanks so much for your informative comment. I hadn't heard of circles but will check it out now.

Yes, I think crypto provides the greatest likelihood for UBI succeeding, and Manna does need to start getting used. But their tech isn't quite developed to that point yet, so I'll be patient. We Steemit users have gotten spoiled, having an actual platform for our trade of STEEM. No other crypto is actually functioning as a platform right now, that I know of. Everything is a promise. Except I guess Ethereum, which so many ICOs are using for their smart contracts as ERC20 tokens.
