@nickcownie so glad to see some more people posting financial education posts here. It's a small audience we have in steemit for that topic thus far, but I feel it is growing based on the growth in voted on my financial/real estate posts.

Agreed, I feel the issue with financial education for the U.S. is a game of "Catch Up". Almost a quarter of U.S. college students are taught a hard lesson from becoming delinquent or in default of their loans and the majority of Americans rely on another person to essentially translate their taxes.
