This is very important question needs answering at the onset, because becoming a millionaire isn't easy. Unless you are born to rich parents, break the law, win the lottery or hit a hot streak at a casino, attaining financial freedom takes years of time, work, sacrifice and self-discipline. Is it worth the effort? We have all heard many times that money can't buy happiness.

If you believe the results of recent investigations into the subject, money indeed does buy happiness. According to a report from HNW digital of Newton, a full 86% of the wealthiest 8.6 million americans rank financial success and security as important to the overall happiness, and 50% said it was very important. Moreover, 75% of america's wealthiest reported that they have become happier as they have accumulated more money. The people who tell us that money can't buy happiness either don't have it or don't know where to shop.

Economies Jonathan Gardner and Andrew Oswald of England's University Warwick studied people who inherited or won large sum of money. Not surprisingly, they found that a large windfall is followed by a marked increase in overall happiness the following year. According to the study, coming into an extra $75000 makes one significantly happier, and a win fall of $1.5 million will take someone from the bottom to the top of the happiness scale.

Both studies report that happiness isn't affected by how one comes into the money. Winning it, earning it and inheriting it all work equally well. This reminds me of the husband who ask his wife, " do you love me just because my father left me a fortune?” she replied, “not at all , honey. I would love you no matter who left you the money.

The famous poet and playwright Oscar Wilde once remarked, " when I was young I thought that money was the most important thing in life; now that I am old , I know that it is." my personal opinion is that happiness isn't determined by what you have. If you think you would enjoy being a millionaire, it's a safe bet you will. So let's stop fantasizing and do something about it.
