I am a single male with no children, but paternity leave where I work sounds similar to where your wife works. They offer three weeks paid. Or I could use fmla for up to 12 weeks unpaid. Or I could use my vacation time.
While I don't ever see the US being as generous as most European countries, I feel like three months paid leave should be the minimum.
Yeah, 3 months seems reasonable. Before my wife got pregnant, I never even thought about this issue and it's not really talked about much.
