You're reading this 'Original Thought" here for the first time ever... Our Money in the United States was "NEVER" backed by Gold or Silver... What actually backs our Money "was" and still "is" Common Coinage and the Power, Congress has to Coin Money and regulate the Value thereof... At one time, our Paper Money was and still can be, backed by Coinage... Yes, we used and still use gold and silver and other Metals in our Coinage... But it was never "really" about the content of the Metals in our Coins... Our Coinage and the power to regulate its value, is the only thing we have that can save our Monetary System and Free us from the Clutches of the Federal Reserve...
