Fear of missing out, or FOMO, causes a lot of stress for many people. It can cause them to make rash hasty decisions that they may regret later. It could cause them to invest a lot of money in something that has ALOT of hype. Sound familiar?

I think many people are feeling FOMO right now with many alt-coins. Take Ripple for example, it has EXPLODED this week and has had a lot more media coverage. As people see this they are inclined to buy Ripple, because they don't want to regret not buying it in 6 months when it is POSSIBLY worth more than it is now.

People would hate thinking that they'll miss out on massive profits months from now by not purchasing some of these alt-coins.

What creates a cryptocurrencies value? What people are willing to pay for it. Supply and demand, as more cryptocurrencies turn out like Bitcoin and Ether, and more people hear about success stories of investing in things like Bitcoin, the more people are going to be willing to pay.

Add this with the FOMO of not investing, the more the value of cryptocurrencies are going to increase. Just observe Ripple, in a few months it could be worth more than a dollar a share becoming the next success story.
