Bitcoin Regret, Keeping Many From Great Opportunity

Getting people to accept this new and exciting crypto currency paradigm is no easy task. Because of a flaw in human nature, it is easier to get people to buy into a football pool or lottery tickets but when a real opportunity stares them in the face, a type of blindness sets in. Some who feel they have missed the bitcoin train react without rational thought. They think to attack it and disparage it instead of trying to understand it. This is nothing but a form of anger at themselves thinking they missed their chance. The reality is I believe, the Bitcoin and crypto currency express now leaving the station has barely begun its journey.

This new and budding idea is a paradigm shift that I equate to the early days of the internet when that was an unknown technology. As a long time investor I understand, you never get in at the very bottom and then sell at the very top and the most of the gains are in the middle of any significant move anyways. The middle of the cypto boom may not have even started yet!

If you have not yet invested into some of the better crypto currencies I can understand the stress of thinking as soon as I buy in, they will drop. This is of course very possible with markets as hot as the cryptos currently are, but this should not stop you from an opportunity the likes of which we may not see again. If I was looking to get in now, I would employ a longer term strategy and dollar cost average myself in. Make a plan for yourself, decide how much you want to allocate as an initial investment, and then continue to add to it as often as you like. I am an aggressive investor and would probably add additional on a weekly basis, maybe even daily at the outset. In this way, any drops in price will be a benefit as you get to add more currency at cheaper prices which will of course be a plus down the road.

This longer term strategy is time honored and will give you a way into these markets in a focused, step by step fashion. The alternative is to continue kicking yourself for not buying when prices were lower, and then never buying in at all. I believe we are at the very beginning stages of this move higher in crypto valuations that in the fullness of time will be proven to be very early and very wise for those that choose to participate.
