Armenia’s GDP grew by 5.2% in 2018, slightly exceeding 6 trillion drams, the statistical office of the country reported. The most significant economic growth - by 9.9% - was achieved by the country in the first quarter. In subsequent quarters, its slowdown was recorded. The lowest growth rate of 2.5% was observed in the third quarter. Manufacturing enterprises showed an increase in production of 10.1%. Trade increased by 9%. At the same time, a reduction was noted in the field of agriculture, where the figure fell by 8.5%. The growth of the Armenian economy by the end of last year exceeded the growth by 4.9%, planned budget of the country.
