Inflation in Germany slowed to 1.4% in January

In January, a slowdown in annual inflation rates was recorded in Germany to 1.4% from 1.6% in December, the country's statistical office reported. Compared to December, consumer prices fell by 0.8%. According to EU standards, consumer prices in annual terms rose by 1.7%. In monthly terms, there was a decrease of 1%. Energy prices rose by 2.3% compared to January 2018.
