Global semiconductor sales grew by 9.8% in November 2018 compared to November 2017, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reports. Although the pace of growth slowed to the end of the year, sales in the industry continue to grow. Sales of microprocessors increased in all regions of the world. A significant increase of 17.4% was observed in China. Sales growth by 8.8% was recorded in North and South America, in Europe and Japan - by 5.8% and 5.6%, respectively. Chip sales slightly decreased in relation to October 2018 in North and South America and China. In Europe and Japan, on the contrary, this indicator increased by 0.5% and 0.4%.
