If the President declares an EMERGENCY to fund the wall (which Mexico was supposed to pay for), it will set a dangerous prescient- Future presidents could do the same thing with say the 2nd amendment. This wall is NOT about a wall, it is a test bed to see what the American people will allow to happen- so future presidents could use their "emergency" powers in other ways, and they will.
If the President declares a national emergency to build the border wall, it would be the 32nd active national emergency in the United States.
Past and current Presidents have perpetuated and declared national emergencies throughout their terms.
Trump's wall would be the 32nd active national emergency
