I think we can benefit from a good government shut down. All government does is scratch their asses and spend money they don't have. I think we can survive an undisclosed amount of time without having worthless bureaucrats scratching their asses and spending money they don't have.
Agreed, however the government manages to spend more money on a government shutdown than they would otherwise. Leave it to government to spend more money shutting themselves down.
Not to mention, extortion (taxation) is still in full effect.
Feed the government!
