In the Bloomberg report from March 19th, we find out that President Donald Trump banned U.S. purchases of a cryptocurrency the Venezuelan government is rolling out, as part of a campaign to pressure the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

I must admit, I have expected a more sophisticated methods of fighting Venezuelan petro, than this, but Trump decided to exercise blunt force against crypto! Now we will have a real-life example of the matter vs. spirit. Let's see just how will that ban look like.

For a starters, we can see pressure on Poland. Earlier this year, the Venezuelan government claimed that Poland was interested in trading food and medicine for the Petro, which was later denied by the Polish Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

But exerting pressure all over the world might soon prove to be a mission impossible. For example, Cambodian government recently announced it's own national cryptocurrency inspired by petro, and named “Entepay”.

Of course centralized national cryptocurrency do not have any future. But it's nice to see that even those frauds can make dollar masters sweating in panic. Their financial domination is quickly coming to an end.
