Money. The root of all evil- why so?

Before we go into the ectasis of money, it'll be a pleasure to define what money truly is so we can get an understanding about this money. Money could be seen as an item or a paper (currency) that is generally accepted as a means of payment, transaction, purchasing or in paying of debts. If the item or paper has the ability to meet up with the demands as mentioned above, then we can gladly call it 'MONEY". I see no reason why something that is generally accepted by everyone all over the world, is also referred to as the root of all evil.

This leads me to the aisle of this topic. Having love for a thing and having value for it are two different things all together. It's very okay to have value for money, and see it as means of payment. It's only laborious and toilsome when we ignite a strong love for it.

In economics money is a broad term that refers to any financial instrument. Money isn't a bad thing, also having lots of it as you desire isn't bad either. You'll agree with me that we humans, were mostly carried away by material things which are bought we money. When this urge come at us, the intention of having more of it becomes our ultimate goal. When we see others (sometimes our mates) lavishing money like it wasn't earned, we tend to question ourselves. At this point, our mentality suddenly change, we start developing hate and envy right inside of us, slow and steady were now erupting evil right in us. How did he get it? How did she get it? What did he/she do? This are the questions that floods our inner man. We crave for what they have by all means, regardless of what they did to acquire such. With this mentality we go outside to do harmful and evil things just to impress or be counted as the big boys or girls in the city. So you see, the evil starts right from us.

At this point our drive for money is mistaken for the pleasure we derive. We feel having lots and lots of money will take away sadness from us, makes us happy or even elongate our years on planet earth. But this could be a different thing all together.

Our happiness will only last for a while when we acquire somethings we felt might last forever. Nevertheless, we could loose all that money via ceaseless spending or components.

Like i said earlier, am still shocked and perplexed on the notion that "money is the root of all evil" and it's still the same root we all can't live without.

Some years ago, we were told that money can't buy love, happiness, freedom or joy. Fast forward to this present generation money can literally buy anything here on earth. No wonder those who have it and even have more are respected in the society, it's as if they've got the key that others have been looking for. Just as i stated earlier, the evil behind money erupts from our mind. Were persuaded by the flashy and expensive lifestyle of others, without proper investigation of how they got what they have presently we involve in malicious and evil acts just to meet up to their standards. This is the whole truth behind the evil following money. Were never contended with what we have.

As banal as it says 'No money no friend" we get this depression that were loosing some friends simply because we don't have money, or were broke ( the common slang) this is also another reason why many indulge in malicious and evil act. We love a person to a point we can do anything for them just to keep them close.

Basically, we should be able to see money as an item that is earned. Nothing goes for nothing, through hard work, consistency and focus we can acquire any figure we desire, but we must first get the understanding.

Some individuals have already exchanged their soul for money. The love for money has made them do the unimaginable, this is the reason why they get flashy things and wear expensive materials just to entice who aren't in their game to come aboard. This act is practiced a lot in my country, youths no longer believe in hard work and patience, they all want quick money, and for this reason they do everything in their power just to get it. This could also involve killing of a fellow human.

Money, according to many has been tagged as the root of all evil has molded our community and the way we think,no one want to know the journey of the successful person the claim to be envious of, rather they just want to see their destination and try to apply short routes. What am I saying here? Nobody wants to work hard and be patient for their pay day.

I end this topic with this- money is one of those caterpillars and cankerworms that has eaten approximately everything in the minds of humanity. Substituting our "LOVE" for money with "VALUE" for money will bring a positive change in our community and society today.
