Steemit is Even Better for Those From Poor Countries
Hello there! Today I was wondering how the same amount of money doesn't have the same value in every part of the World. To some people 100$ is nothing and they earn it in few hours, while others need to work their ass off for 100$. To somebody, it can represent even monthly salary. While some people can buy few tacos with that money, others can pay rent with it. It all depends on which part of the World you are from. More specifically it depends on your country's standards.
How things going on here on Balkan
I'm from Croatia, that's a small country in the eastern Europe. Nothing special here, we are neither too poor or too rich. Somewhere in the golden middle, I would say. For example, here in Croatia, people work 8 to 10 hours for a payout of 20 - 30 $ a day. That's not much when compared to the other countries because our standard isn't great. That means we are paid less but also life is cheaper. In our neighborhood country Bosnia and Herzegovina, it's even more cheaper while salaries are lower. What is average salary in your country per day/week/month?
Here in Croatia, you can buy a pack of cigarette for around 3$, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina it will cost you 2$. In a Croatian's coffee shop, you will pay around 2$ for a beer, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina it's around 1$. In both countries, you can eat a pizza for around 1-3$ bucks and get one liter of gasoline for around 1,5$. In Croatia, people on average earn around 650$ per month, while the minimum wage is 521.17$.
The less standards = more profit from Steemit
I'm sure that there are countries with even lower standards than Croatia and for them earning money on steemit comes as a blessing. I can't even imagine how big amount of 100$ is for someone who lives in poorest countries of the World. So, the lower standard in your country is, the better it is to be on steemit and earn here, right? It motivated me when I think that way. I personally, with 100$ can pay 3 months rent in a university dormitory. Thank you steemit for existing. And thank you dear follower and upvoters for being so kind and supportive. :)

Very good observation! Steemit offers a wonderful opportunity for people everywhere in the world to have a chance to earn more income, and provide for their families.
It's true, but steemit is not some easy money platform that will get you rich over the night. You need to put a lot of effort and be patient to earn a fair amount of money. But it's more profitable if you are from the poor country. :)
Absolutely right, @jokster! I just read an article about how to best curate comments on your own articles. It was very informative. One of the most important points the author made was that a person can earn more by being a good curator of their own comments, and it is worth the time to curate comments thoughtfully, and carefully to award higher amounts to the most thoughtful comments. So I see this as another very good way for profits to increase for those most in need of it.

Very interesting read. I like the idea of keeping spam comments lowest on your articles while giving a credit to other users that comment meaningful content (like you). I'm already doing this but anyway, thanks for sharing. :)
I see an opportunity in this article. It is inexpensive to advertise in poorer countries sometimes on some ad networks.

FB advertising and other advertising opportunities like link shorteners are cheaper to advertise in poorer countries. If a cryptocoin had an referral bonus you could advertise it in poorer countries and profit I bet.
