Traffic - Road to Success
Have you ever thought of selling a product, selling your skills or maybe wanting to help people around the world by sharing your valuable context with them?
If you're an online business, brand awareness is a crucial factor and dictator of your sales. And brand awareness can only exist through traffic.
If you want to sell anything online, you need an audience, you need to spread the word out.
And here is where most business startups fail. They have a good service to offer, but it doesn't matter, because people don't know it exists.
Traffic can make the difference between success & failure.
2 Entrepreneurs, one with 2 Million Facebook likes or YouTube subscribers one with only 10K. Who do you think will sell more? Who do you think has more credibility, social proof?
Therefore traffic is something every serious individual that wants to make money online should be concerned with.
There's 2 types of traffic: PAID & ORGANIC.
Paid traffic is when you pay someone to shout-out you on YouTube Facebook Twitter etc. Or when you pay Facebook Google YouTube or alternative advertising companies to run ads for you (to show an advertisement you create to people)
Facebook Ads have become very expensive, therefore alternative advertising companies might give you the bang for your buck.
The other type of Traffic is Organic. Organic means free in this context. It's traffic you don't pay for.
You can get Organic traffic through Youtube videos with proper keywords (You post a video and optimize it to rank #1,2 or 3 for certain keywords), Google SEO (You optimize your website to rank for a keywords by makingit most relevant for searchers of that keyword) or other social media sites.
Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram & Steemit views & followers are Free traffic, hence Organic.
So, if you want to become successful, you need traffic. And to get traffic you need to pay a price: for Organic traffic your time, for paid traffic your money.
So choose one and start building your audience. Hustle! Grow! Make your voice heard!
Indeed although in my experience Organic traffic yields more returns and repeat customers.
They in turn could become another avenue which is word of mouth.
