Cutoff time is the first payout time for this post. The winner is the one that is closest to the CMC dollar price 24 hours from the cutoff time.
I will share 50% (if you upvoted) and 25% (if you didnt) and 1% (if you downvoted) of whatever the first payout for this post is with the one who has the closest price. In the event of an N-way tie, the winnings for each person is divided by N
For example, assuming this post's first payout time is 9PM GMT Wed, that becomes the cutoff for submissions and 9PM Thursday is when we find out the winner by getting the CMC dollar price at that time (it is currently $4.51). Then if this post gets $777 awarded from upvotes and you made the closest guess, you will get $388.5 assuming you upvoted. But if you dont upvote, you would only get $194.25.

there is 24 hours after the cutoff, so it just levels the playing field between the early submissions and the later. Assuming the 24hr ahead price is easier to predict than the 48 hr ahead price.
From a game theory perspective, now that you mention it, I think you are right - it does level the playing field and doesn't penalize the early forecaster if he's allowed to edit.
