Microsoft has started to take a big role in the crypto world. Few months ago Microsoft has also agreed to have a partnership through the Azure program to Syscoin.
This is an excellent way to promote themselves and why not, to experiment with something totally new to IT. Maybe, in the near future Microsoft will create their own coin.
Yes, Microsoft is very supportive of financial technologies and does not promise to make its own currency in the future
