Affiliate earnings takes a LONG time. Generally those success stories people see online are rare bunch as it takes half a year to a year or so to make sizeable profit with affiliate linking. Too many times, people don't understand that they need to find a niche that's not to competitive and figure out SEO for long-term traffic generation.
I agree that it takes a long time. I did not try to over-sell it. I just recently got my first payout after three months, just $20. But it is a start and I do not intend to get even close to be rich from it.
I am still learning this whole game. But I thought I would share what I have found so far.
