Congress Refuses to Close Excess Military Bases
Congress says it wants to save money and cut the deficit. As most of us know, this is a complete joke and nothing more than cheap talk. One way to save money is to close needless military bases in the U.S. and around the world. Even the Pentagon, yes the Pentagon that loves to waste billions of dollars annually, wants to close some of these bases.
Personally, I think they continue to push this can down the road like they always do because no politician wants to close a base in their district as it is a contentious issue politically. Just another reason why there should be term limits in Congress.
We should shut every base that is outside the US and stop providing free defense services to everyone and everything around the world.
We are definitely the world police aren't we.
They do this to protect the Americans interests overseas. So I've read. Keep the balance tipped in their favor. Ingot the Chinese building g island bases in the middle of the water if the us pull out overseas who is gonna move in?
But what if the boogyman comes to MY home and there is no army to stop him?!
If we ever have to use the active army domestically for anything then it's time to leave.
Good motto. Come chill out in Canada! Our troops will probably get involved with any major civil conflict down there, but we'll also probably be taking a lot of people in anyway.

BTW, everyone kills trump for wanting the wall. I don't think the wall will be effective for much. But, I wonder why nobody cares that Mexico built their own wall between Guatemala and themselves. Hmm.
Not sure where you heard about a Guatemalan/Mexican wall. The two countries have an open border policy. If there is a wall, it isn't there for any real purpose.
